U.S. History Period 6

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course offered by the Social Science department is designed to prepare students to become successful, literate citizens.  Students will develop their skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. In addition, students will have the opportunity to integrate technology in their learning.

RULES:

Come prepared to learn, respect the speaker, treat everyone with respect, and no food/drinks/gum allowed in class

EXPECTATIONS FOR CLASS:

Everyone has the right to, and should expect to, learn.

Each individual is worthy of respect.

Classroom orderliness is necessary for an effective classroom.

Hard work is necessary for learning

3. Assistant Principal/ Counselors Referral

HOMEWORK POLICY:

Students are responsible for getting assignments completed by next class period unless otherwise stated.  All classwork/homework assignments are available for viewing on their Canvas Calendar.

GRADING:

Students will earn point for their classwork/homework, reports/projects, participation, and quizzes/tests.  The total points accumulated for the grading period will be averaged for the student’s scholarship grade.

      Grading Scale:                                               

      90-100%          =          A

      80-89%            =          B

      70-79%            =          C

      60-69%            =          D

      59% or lower   =          F
