Course Description:  This course is designed for beginning information technology students to teach them how to install, configure and administer a desktop operating system. The student will learn how to manage a Windows desktop operating system in a variety of environments.

Instructional Method: Class will include lectures, “Hands on” exercises (Labs), and instruction through the Canvas Open Source Learning Management System (LMS). Canvas will serve as the central communication forum for the course. It will also be the location of quzzes, assignments and projects.

Requirement for completion:  Successful completion of all course requirements.

Make-up Policy:  The work made up must be documented as completed by a record of the date, time, duration of the make-up session, and name of the supervising instructor, which is signed and dated by student to acknowledge the make-up session.

Attendance Policy:  Attendance is tracked through each student’s entire program of study.  Attendance will be taken during team meetings and class sessions.  Every effort should be made to contact the instructors and team members with as much prior notice to an absence as possible. There is no difference between excused and unexcused absences.  An absence is an absence.
